Hello, my name is

Andrea Diaz

About me

I’m a digital media professional based in Los Angeles, California.

I have a demonstrated history of working in digital media and communications within healthcare and academic institutions.

I’m a Los Angeles–based communications professional and videographer with a background in digital media, health communication, and community engagement. I currently serve as Marketing Communications Manager at Micro-Tech Endoscopy, where I lead content strategy, digital communications, and marketing initiatives within the medical device and endoscopy space.

I earned my degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I double majored in Film & Digital Media and History of Art & Visual Culture. From 2018 to 2021, I worked as a Program Coordinator at Stanford School of Medicine, supporting Integrated Strategy, Events, Communications, Branding, and Marketing. From 2021 to 2025, I served as Communications Lead for the Community Engagement Core at USC’s Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute (SC CTSI), creating digital content and articles that supported community-facing work focused on medical access, health literacy, health disparities, and increasing participation in clinical research.

In addition to my full-time role, I work as a contract videographer for Del Sol Group, producing bilingual (English/Spanish) content across education, politics, and community engagement. I also support Academia de Fútbol Juvenil Amatense, a nonprofit youth soccer program centered on education, mentorship, and personal development, by filming cultural events and fundraisers to promote their initiatives.

As a Los Angeles native, I am deeply passionate about giving back to the community that raised me. One nonprofit I currently support is Starts With One Today, which provides essential supplies, food, and lifesaving resources to homeless adults, children, animals, and refugees in Skid Row. With over 200 children currently living in Skid Row, I am committed to supporting efforts that bring dignity, care, and stability to families in need.

Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering, traveling, making stained glass art, cooking, hiking, playing the ukulele, dirt bike riding, and spending time with my family and parrotlet.
