Hello, my name is

Andrea Diaz

About me

I’m a digital media professional based in Los Angeles, California.

I have a demonstrated history of working in digital media and communications within healthcare and academic institutions.

My professional journey began as an undergraduate student at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I double majored in Film & Digital Media and History of Art & Visual Culture. Inspired by the innovative and fast-paced culture of Silicon Valley, I developed a strong passion and skillset for digital media and marketing.

From 2018 to 2021, I worked as a Program Coordinator at Stanford School of Medicine, providing operational and marketing support across various departments such as Integrated Strategy, Events, Communications, Branding, and Marketing. This role helped me discover new interests and hone my skills in health communication.

I am currently employed as the Communications Lead for the Community Engagement Core at the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute (SC CTSI) at the University of Southern California (USC). In this role, I work alongside passionate individuals dedicated to addressing Los Angeles’ most pressing health challenges through clinical research. My responsibilities include curating digital content for social media, producing articles, and engaging with our community.

I am also a contract videographer for Del Sol Group, a communications and public affairs firm specializing in strategy, outreach, and leadership across education, politics, and community engagement. I create bilingual content in English and Spanish, focusing on video narratives that engage diverse audiences. My portfolio includes documentary-style features, promotional videos, and event coverage, all designed to highlight key initiatives and drive meaningful engagement.

Outside of work, I enjoy a range of activities including dirt bike riding, creating stained glass art, cooking, reading, drawing, hiking, playing the ukulele, and spending time with my parrotlet.
